Reduced order models of multivariable systems obtained by available model reduction techniques often fail to preserve the interaction properties of the original systems they represent, and therefore lead to unreliable con-trol systems. A. method is presented which addresses the interaction aspects of multivariable system model reduction and provides insight into the reasons of failure of previous methods.
