We propose an Arnoldi-based numerical method to compute the transfer function matrices of linear lmaultivariable system. The method is composed only of basic linear algebraic operations such as matrix-vector multiplication and solution of upper Hessenberg linear systems of smaller dimensions. The efficiency, compared with other methods, is shown by means of operations Counts. An illustrative numerical example is given to demonstrate the accuracy compared with the direct method.
