Experimental and analytical investigations are conducted to determine the profile change along the frontal inter- electrode gap (IEG) in the course of electrochemical machining.The inter-electrode machining parameters are described mathematically in the steady state condition and a computer program is developed to solve the obtained formulae. A comparison between theoretical and experimental results are also carried out. A discussion of certain limitations to the ECM process is presented.
